Leland Quarterly: A Statement on Literature, Culture, Art, and Politics is a general interest magazine that showcases the very best in Stanford University undergraduate art and writing. Our mission is to tap into the almost incomparably diverse talents of Stanford's undergraduate student body, by soliciting a wide array of poetry and prose, and working closely with authors to achieve a publication of superior content and design. Leland's statement – from fiction to poetry, essays to reviews – will be enduring, common, recognizable, and extraordinary.

Let's see, what can I say about my blog?

I'd say it's a blog about 1) places, physical and emotional landscapes, and nostalgia; 2) books and reading and anything that catches my eye from the tons of magazines and literary journals I subscribe to (I subscribe to everything from The Economist to The New Yorker to Alimentum, a journal about food writing, to New Letters, but you really don't want to hear the whole list, do you?) and finally it's 3) about the Philippines and Filipino Americans and everything that affects them.
